Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Caddie Games app, or by using the caddie-games.ai website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Caddie Games.
Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use of the app. Where these terms and Apple's EULA differ, Apple's EULA controls the app-license terms as required by Apple.
What Caddie Games is
Caddie Games is a mobile utility that helps a group of golfers keep score during a round. It supports a range of common golf scoring formats — Stroke play, Match play, Nassau, Skins, Junk, Wolf, Nine Points, Golf Poker, Baseball — and can run several of them at once inside a single round. Scores can be entered by tapping or by speaking to the AI caddie, and standings sync in real time to every phone in the round.
Scoring only — not money handling
Caddie Games is a scoring utility. It is not a gambling platform, a payment service, a bookmaker, or a settlement provider. It does not handle money.
Many of the scoring formats Caddie Games supports are traditionally played by friends with an informal side arrangement — for example, playing what is commonly called a “five-dollar Nassau” or “dollar Skins.” When Caddie Games refers to those formats by their common names, or shows dollar values that a group has entered, those are labels for the group's own scoring convention. They are not transactions on the Caddie Games platform.
Caddie Games does not:
- Accept, hold, transfer, process, or route any money between players
- Provide any payment mechanism between players
- Verify, confirm, or settle any side arrangement between players
- Act as an intermediary, escrow agent, custodian, or bookmaker in any arrangement
- Offer prizes, cash rewards, jackpots, or games of chance
- Take a fee, rake, or commission from any player-to-player arrangement
Any arrangement between players — monetary or otherwise — is entered into, tracked, and settled entirely off the Caddie Games platform, between the players themselves. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with any laws in your jurisdiction that apply to arrangements you make with other players.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Caddie Games account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use Caddie Games.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for every activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorized use, please tell us at hi@caddie-games.ai so we can help.
One account per person. Do not create an account impersonating someone else, and do not submit scores under someone else's identity.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Free tier and paid options
Caddie Games offers a free tier that includes unlimited use of the four core game formats (Stroke, Match, Nassau, Skins), tap-based scoring, and a modest allowance of AI-scored rounds. Paid options — a monthly or annual subscription, and one-time purchases of the in-app currency (“Tees”) — unlock additional AI capacity. The current details of each plan and each Tees pack are shown in-app at the time of purchase.
How subscriptions are billed
Subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same term and at the same price shown at purchase, unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings under “Subscriptions.” Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you continue to have access until then. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds
All refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's App Store refund policies. To request a refund, use the App Store refund flow (Report a Problem on your Apple ID purchase history). Caddie Games does not process refunds directly.
Family Sharing
The membership subscription supports Apple Family Sharing per Apple's policies. Members of your Apple Family group can access the subscription entitlements when Family Sharing is enabled.
Tees (in-app currency)
Tees are an in-app currency used to pay for AI-driven features on a per-use basis (for example, a voice-scored round). Subscribers receive a monthly Tees grant. Tees can also be purchased individually as one-time in-app purchases. Tees have no cash value, are non-refundable except where required by law or Apple's policies, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Caddie Games — your rounds, scores, custom course notes, and roster entries. You grant Caddie Games a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and to the other players you invite into a round.
You represent that content you submit does not infringe any third party's rights, and that you have permission to include any player information (name, contact details, GHIN member number) you enter into the app about someone other than yourself.
We may remove content that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe puts other users, our service, or us at legal risk.
Third-party services
Caddie Games relies on services provided by third parties. Each has its own terms and privacy practices, and by using Caddie Games you agree that those terms and practices apply to the parts of the service they enable.
The user-facing providers, named because you either see them in the app or opt into them yourself:
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple, the App Store, in-app purchases, Family Sharing, and (if you use it) the Apple Watch companion
- Google, for Sign in with Google when you choose that option
- Anthropic and OpenAI, for the AI models that interpret voice commands and generate spoken responses
- USGA (GHIN), for handicap lookup when you have linked your GHIN account
We also rely on categories of behind-the-scenes providers — cloud database and authentication, subscription management, third-party course-data lookups, product analytics, and mobile app updates. These are described further in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The Caddie Games name, the Caddie Games logo, the app's user interface, and the caddie-games.ai website design are the property of Caddie Games. Everything in the app that we created — code, illustrations, copy — is ours. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app or website, or create derivative works from them.
The names of the golf scoring formats Caddie Games supports (Nassau, Skins, Junk, Wolf, Nine Points, Golf Poker, Baseball, Stroke, Match) are commonly used generic names for these games, not Caddie Games trademarks.
Disclaimer of warranties
Caddie Games is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scoring calculations will be free from defects. Handicap data pulled from GHIN reflects what GHIN provides to us; we do not independently verify it. Course data pulled from third-party catalogs reflects what those catalogs contain; we do not independently verify hole yardages, ratings, or stroke indexes.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caddie Games and its officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the app or the website.
In particular, Caddie Games is not responsible for any dispute between you and another player arising from a side arrangement made in the course of a round, or from the outcome of any game format scored by Caddie Games.
Caddie Games’ total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Caddie Games in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Caddie Games harmless from any claim or demand — including reasonable attorney's fees — arising from (a) your use of the app or the website, (b) your violation of these terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right, or (d) any dispute between you and another player arising from a side arrangement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Caddie Games will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to that venue.
Termination
You can end this agreement at any time by deleting your account (in-app, or by emailing hi@caddie-games.ai) and uninstalling the app.
We can suspend or terminate your access to Caddie Games if you violate these terms, if your account has been inactive for an extended period, or if we discontinue the service.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated terms here with a new effective date and notify active users in-app before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Caddie Games after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
